The DROOM Artist Emergency Fund
What is the DROOM Artist Emergency Fund?
The global pandemic has raised many concerns for the survival of all individuals. As artists, we are called into action. Not as doctors or first responders, but as Artivists. We must use our respective art forms and our platforms to support the citizens of the world to stay informed, healthy, & safe. This includes taking care of one another and practicing proper safety protocol. However, we also realize that many artists are among those affected. And as mentioned, we must support one another.
The DROOM Artist Emergency Fund is a temporary donation based fund to help assist artists with unexpected expenses during the Coronavirus outbreak. Our goal is to raise monetary donations in order to distribute funds amongst qualifying applicants evenly.
We are asking that individuals, who can, donate any dollar amount because we are all STRONGER TOGETHER.
100% of funds raised are distributed to applicants.
How it works?
We are currently accepting donations. With a deadline of April 17th.
An application will be available on Monday, April 20th for artists to apply for funds.
We want to help as many people as possible, therefore there will be a cap on the amount of funds that can be requested based on the amount of donations raised. More information to come.
To qualify, an artist must submit proof of artistic practice with the application. Details on acceptable forms of proof will be given during the application process.
